Welcome to Isla and Me

Isla and Me is a studio based florist nestled in the Lune Valley, just outside Lancaster, Lancashire.

Our style is natural, garden gathered and a bit wild. Inspired by the seasons and the surrounding countryside we love to embrace the different textures and scents each element brings.

We are passionate about British flowers and use as many as we can in our work. Often these will be homegrown on our own flower plot or sourced from local growers.

I am also a proud member of 'Flowers from the Farm' championing artisan growers of seasonal, scented, locally grown British cut flowers.

The Flower Plot

Within walking distance from the studio, our flower plot sits on the edge of a beautiful walled garden, where we grow a variety of seasonal flowers, foliage and herbs for our weekly bouquets, weddings, workshops and events. From blousy tulips and ranunculus at the start of the season to bright and bold dahlias in late summer.

About Me

Hi, I’m Jill, creator of Isla and Me. I have always loved flowers. Growing up on a farm in Lancashire watching my Mum and Gran busy in their cutting garden and vegetable patch, being surrounded by flowers, has always been a very comforting place.

Creating beautiful designs with flowers is my passion and after years of working as a florist and the arrival of our new spaniel puppy, Isla, I was excited to begin a new venture of my own using predominately British flowers and learning how to create our cut flower plot.

Taking inspiration from our walks in the countryside, our bouquets and weddings are filled with seasonal textures, scents, foraged hedgerow stems and a variety of natural cottage garden style flowers.

We are a small family business where we all lend a hand. Hubby Mike can often be found up a ladder at a venue, loading the car with flower deliveries or making the coffee on one of our workshops. Our two teenagers are often roped in to lend a hand too.

When I’m not working in the studio there’s nothing better than long walks in the surrounding countryside with Isla and if we’re lucky a good pub at the end too.
